   Read Every Expiry Date

   Take all bottles and boxes out and line them up by date. Anything past its date goes straight into a separate discard bag as you find it.

   Dispose of Drugs Safely

   Never flush pills or pour liquids down the sink. Mix pills with coffee grounds or cat litter in a sealed bag, or drop them in a pharmacy take-back box.

   Group by Ailment, Not by Brand

   Sort what remains into pain, cold and allergy, stomach, first aid, and prescriptions. Grouping by what it treats is faster when you actually feel bad.

   Move Daily Meds to Eye Level

   Anything taken every day belongs on the most reachable shelf at eye level, not tucked behind the bandages.

   Bin the Small Loose Items

   Bandages, gauze, and single-dose packets go into a shallow clear bin so they stop scattering across the whole shelf.

   Write a Household Med Card

   Tape a card inside the door listing who takes what and when, plus the poison control number for your region.

   Set a Twice-a-Year Reset

   Pick two fixed dates a year, such as when the clocks change, and re-check every date in ten minutes.
